Golang Job: Monitoring Systems Engineer (m-f-d)

Join our IT Operations team and be responsible for ensuring stable operation of the global TeamViewer platform and facilitate further growth.

• Assure high availability of our customer-facing infrastructure and help to ensure the smooth operation of all critical and externally hosted systems throughout the organization
• Take responsibility for the set-up, further development, and maintenance of the monitoring systems
• Own, develop and maintain our monitoring system
• Monitor cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premise systems and services, ensuring availability and optimal operations of the Teamviewer services
• Work with the local and global teams, close collaboration with R&D developers
• Design and implementation of new concepts and solutions for the optimized and efficient operation of the systems, Infrastructure as a Code

• 
  University or college degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or any other related field. Any professional work experience in a relevant field is an alternative
• Used to work with Monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Uptrends as well as visualization tools such as Grafana and log management tools like ELK
• Knowledge in Linux, mainly in RHEL-based distros and Ubuntu as well as in system administration and hardening
• Git and CICD knowledge is required (GitLab)
• Programming skills in Golang, Python, and PowerShell
• Willingness to understand our infrastructure as a whole and find the best monitoring solutions for our stakeholders inquiries and open-mindness to put new monitoring systems in place
• Experience in the field of SRE topics such as Application Server, Kubernetes, Saltstack, Ansible and/or Terraform
• IT Networking knowledge is a plus
• Automation skills in various platforms such as SaltStack or Ansible are preferred
• Enthusiasm for new, innovative, and technical subjects along with an understanding of customer and market requirements, trends and developments in the IT industry
• Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages such as German are a plus

• Contract location would be Göppingen, Germany
